At Island Vibez it is not about becoming a professional dancer who knows all the steps in this world, it’s about learning how to flow with the music and become comfortable on the dance floor.

Due to their moving history Caribbean dances are very powerful and always cultural. Island Vibez always intents to honor their roots and historical contexts.

Sensuality is an important part of who we are. However, sometimes we lose connection to our own bodies or we don’t find the right space and time to express our feminine/masculine side. Or we feel too ashamed, or maybe we even think that we don’t have any sensual side. Caribbean dancing allows you to (re)discover that side of yours in a playful way.

Theres has been a passionate dancer since she is 17 years old. She started with Dancehall, discovered Soca later on in her life and in 2022 she fell in love with Latin music and dance. She is traveling to the Caribbean and Latin America on a regular basis, visiting destinations such as Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia and México.

Her goal with Island Vibez is to bring the “island feeling”, which she misses a lot when she is in Europe, to Vienna, as Austrian society can feel a little uptight and cold sometimes. She uses the knowledge and experiences she was able to make on her journeys to make Island Vibez as authentic as possible. She wants her party guests to get a feeling for the culture and the music.
